If you missed the tutorial on how to make custom envelopes, you’ll want to go back here. But if you’re ready to learn how to make your own letter liners, then this is the article for you!

So, I love an envelope liner. Let me tell you why. First of all, they add to the security of an envelope. No one can see through an extra layer of paper, so it helps with that. But more importantly, it’s pretty. Having an envelope liner can make an invitation or thank you note look even that much more expensive and it only costs pennies to make!

Want to see how make your own envelope liner? Here’s how to do it:

Use this template and trace the outline on your choice of pretty paper. It can be card stock, the comics out of the newspaper, or even wrapping paper.

After it’s traced, simply cut out the shape. Make sure that you cut exactly on the line, especially on the envelope’s top section since you will see that side.

Lastly, adhere the liner to the inside of the envelope. You can use double stick tape, spray glue, or mounting squares – whatever you have on hand will work.

And that’s it! Now go out there and impress your friends with your new skill!
