DIY Christmas Card
Unless you include a photo of your family, Christmas cards have gotten so generic. What's the point of sending out a well-meaning holiday card if it's just going to say the same exact thing to every one on your list? This year, I've decided to do something different. I'm not sending cards to everyone I know. Instead, I'm hand making my cards and giving them to the people I care most for. Each one has a message specifically made just for them. Want to learn how to make them? Here you go:
- Blank greeting cards
- yarn needle
- marker scissors
Step One. Use the marker and draw out your design in dots about a half centimeter apart.
Step Two. Use the needle to poke holes through the card where the dots are. This will make it easier to thread the yarn through.
Step Three. Weave your yarn through the paper however you like. I prefer to use the back stitch because it makes a cleaner design on the back of the card.
That's it! You're done!
