Perfectly Coordinated DIY Gift Tags

Perfectly Coordinated DIY Gift Tags

I love using gift cards on presents for others. It's a fun little accessory for any box or bag, right? The trouble with most tags is that you have to keep buying different colors to coordinate withvarious bags and wrapping paper and that can get expensive really quickly!

If you want to give a little pizazz to those same old wrapped gifts, try this method.

First, you'll need a tag punch. I got my Fiskars one at Hobby Lobby. With the 40% off coupon, it was about $7. I like this one because it not only punches the tag shape, but it also punches a hole (for a string) and can set an eyelet if you'd like to reinforce the hole.

You'll also need different colored paper. Now, paper can be expensive, so here's how I get around that...I go to a paint supply store and you know those little paint swatches? Those make the perfect tags! You can find whatever colors that match your gifts, they're the right size, and they're free!
