Un-Chain My Heart Easy Valentine's Decor
While Valentine's Day is not one of my favorite holidays (I'm not exactly sure why), I do love a good craft project. So I decided to help My little guy's teacher with the decor for their Valentine's Day class party. And what says pre-school better than a paper chain? But this is no ordinary chain - oh no - this chain is all heart.
This is one of those projects where you're like, "why didn't I think of this sooner?" Because how simple to make it is and festive it is at the same time! Here's how to make it:
What You'll Need
- Different colored/patterned 12x12 size paper cut into half inch strips (I used blush pink, gold, black, and white patterned papers)
Step One. Take one strip of paper and fold it in half, lengthwise.
Step Two. Take the two ends and bring the patterned/colored sides together, stapling them together.
Step Three. Repeat the steps above, interlocking the hearts until you're happy with the length of your chain. I chose to make several individual chains about 3 foot long, so they could hang from the ceiling of the classroom.
Have fun making your heart chains and I'd love to hear how yours came out!
